The Major County Sheriff’s office is based in Fairview in the northwestern area of Oklahoma. Since our first Sheriff, Lewis Burwell, the office has continued to grow to meet the demands of protection, security, and the overall improvement of life for the citizens of Major County.
Deputies patrol 958 square miles with a population +/- 7,555. Major County is bordered by Woods and Alfalfa counties to the north, Garfield on the east, Kingfisher, Blaine, and Dewey counties to the south, and Woodward Caounty in the west.
Led by Sheriff Anthony Robinson, the staff, deputies, volunteers, and office administration work together to not just enforce the law but work in solving real and perceived problems within the community. To accomplish this goal, we work with all levels of government as well as the people of the county as a catalyst for positive interaction between all services and function of the county.
